Hannah Mobley is a painter and printmaker who mainly works with mixed media on paper or canvas. She is from Springfield IL, and graduated in May of 2020 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Painting & Drawing from Olivet Nazarene University, located in Bourbonnais IL. In furthering her pursuit of a professional art career, she is currently working towards a Masters of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Governor's State University, located in University Park IL. Expected graduation date is December 2023.

 

Hannah has experience in arts education, with four summers being an Assistant Teacher in the Springfield Art Association Summer camps. She has also conceptualized and illustrated her very own book, "Swimming Through the Stars", released in April 2019. During her undergrad, Hannah worked in the Starbucks Student Gallery at ONU for three years: one as a Gallery Assistant and two as the Student Gallery Manager. She has completed an internship with the art studios at Glencoe Park District in Glencoe IL and at The Art Center in Highland Park IL (Summer 2022). Currently, she has a Graduate Assistantship at GSU as a lab tech in the ceramics studio (Aug 2021-present), and works as a substitute art teacher for Tall Grass Arts Association in Park Forest IL. 

 

Hannah’s love for the arts started at a young age and had been fostered through several art classes, teachers, and family throughout her time growing up. During the summer before her senior year of high school, she started a paper flower business called “Paper Creations by HM” and sold her art at an Art Co-op shop in Springfield, at craft fairs, and eventually on Etsy. This opened Hannah up to the business and marketing side of art, and ultimately led to her yearning for a career in art.
